Tatyana Shmyga : ウィキペディア英語版 | Tatyana Shmyga Tatyana Ivanovna Shmyga ((ロシア語:''Шмыга, Татьяна Ивановна''); born December 31, 1928, Moscow, Soviet Union — died February 3, 2011) was a Soviet-born Russian operetta/musical theatre performer. She went on to act in films as well. She was a People's Artist of the USSR (1978).〔(Lenta.ru "Tatyana Shmyga dies" )〕 She graduated from the A.V. Lunacharskii State Institute of Theatrical Arts, where she studied voice under D.B. Beliavskaia and acting under I.M. Tumanov, later becoming a soloist with the Moscow Operetta Theater the same year. She began acting in films in 1962, notably appearing in Eldar Ryazanov's ''The Hussar Ballad''.〔(Profile at encyclopedia2.thefreedictionary.com )〕 ==Awards== Shmyga remains the only musical theatre actress to date to receive the title of People's Artist of the USSR.
